Ally Sheedy Bio
Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy has been an American actress since 1983. She made her debut in 1983 on screen in Bad Boys. Later she joined the Bratpack group and was a star in WarGames The Breakfast Club Short Circuit. Sheedy was honored with an Independent Spirit Award as Best Female Lead for her role in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art. Sheedy got married to David Lansbury (the nephew of Angela Lansbury) on April 12,1992. He is also the son Edgar Lansbury, who was originally the producer of Godspell. The couple has a son Beckett who was born in 1994. Sheedy claimed that she gained a lot from Beckett. Alexandra Elizabeth Ally Sheedy, born on June 13, 1962, in New York City is an American actor and stage actor. She also wrote two books. Her greatest fame is her performances as a character in the Brat Pack movies The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire. The Breakfast Club is the name of a John Hughes-directed film. The title "The Breakfast Club" as the film's title is derived from an acronym some schools employ to detain students. Presumably students arrive early in the morning, around breakfast time, for detention. They are the Next Generation. Sheedy is adding "teacher" on her extensive resume. She is a teacher of acting classes at City College in New York City and is enjoying teaching her students under her wing.
